    You can ask our AI chatbot questions about Couchbase Capella to get personalised responses that are cross-referenced with our documentation.

    Ask AI is available from every page in Capella and keeps track of your conversation as you navigate to different pages. This feature is available as a public preview.

    Managing Conversations

    Ask AI takes information from the current conversation into account when answering a new question.

    To start a new conversation, click New chat () on the chat panel.

    To view your chat history, click Chat history () on the chat panel. You can reopen previous conversations by selecting them from the list.

    You can Delete conversations by clicking Delete Chat () beside each conversation in the chat history.

    Responsible Use

    Ask AI uses a third-party LLM in conjunction with the documentation to provide responses.

    • Do not enter sensitive data in your conversations with Ask AI.

    • Verify any suggestions made by Ask AI for accuracy before taking action.

    To use Ask AI, you must first accept Capella’s Supplemental Terms.

    Best Practice

    To get the most out of Ask AI, remember the following rules.

    • Ask concise, direct questions and state your goal.

    • Begin a new conversation for each new task.

    • Be clear in your language and use Couchbase terminology when possible.

    Turning Ask AI Off

    You can opt out of AI features from the Settings tab by unchecking the Enable Capella iQ option.
