    Create billing alerts to monitor usage.

    Capella sends alerts to users in your organization when a usage condition is met.

    Prerequisites

    To manage billing alerts, you must have the Organization Owner role.

    Create a Billing Alert

    To create a billing alert:

    1. Go to Billing  Alerts.

    2. Click Create Alert to go to the Create Alert page.

    3. In the Alert when list, select the condition the usage threshold should meet for Capella to send the alert. You can select from Available credits go below, No available credits, or Pay as you go usage goes above. See Alert Conditions for more information.

    4. Select who you want Capella to send alerts to. You can send alerts to users based on their organization role, to individual users by email address, or to all users in your organization. See Alert Recipients for more information.

    5. Click Save to create an alert.

    Edit a Billing Alert

    To edit a billing alert:

    1. On the Alerts page, click the alert you want to edit.

    2. On the Edit Alert page, make your edits and click Save to save them.

    Or, click More Options (⋮)  Edit.

    Delete a Billing Alert

    To delete a billing alert:

    1. On the Alerts page, click the alert you want to delete.

    2. Click Delete to delete the alert.

    Or, click More Options (⋮)  Delete.

    Alert Conditions

    Alert timing
    Alerts can be delayed by up to a day after usage meets alerting conditions.

    The following conditions are available for billing alerts:

    Condition Description

    Available credits go below

    Sends an alert when the available credits in a specific Capella plan go below a specific credit threshold.

    When you create an alert with the Available credits go below condition, you must also set a Credit Threshold and select one of the Basic, Developer Pro, or Enterprise plans.

    No available credits

    Sends an alert when a specific plan runs out of available credits.

    When you create an alert with the No available credits condition, you must also select one of the Basic, Developer Pro, or Enterprise plans.

    Pay as you go usage goes above

    Sends an alert when your organization’s pay-as-you-go usage exceeds a specific amount either daily or monthly.

    When you create an alert with the Pay as you go usage goes above condition, you must also set an On-demand Threshold and select one of the Daily or Monthly frequencies.

    Alert Recipients

    The following recipients are available for billing alerts:

    Recipient Description

    Organization Role

    Sends an alert to all users with the Organization Owner, Project Creator, or Organization Member role in your organization. You can choose multiple roles to receive the alert.

    User

    Sends an alert to specific Capella users by email address.

    All Users in My Organization

    Sends an alert to all current users in your organization.
