Couchbase Cluster Conditions
This document provides an overview of the possible conditions that a Couchbase cluster can be in. These conditions help in understanding the state and health of the cluster.
Conditions
Available
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is fully operational and available.
Possible Values:

True: The cluster is available. -
False: The cluster is not available. -
Unknown: The availability of the cluster cannot be determined.
Balanced
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is balanced.
Possible Values:

True: The cluster is balanced. -
False: The cluster is not balanced. -
Unknown: The balance status of the cluster cannot be determined.
ManageConfig
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is managing its configuration.
Possible Values:

True: The cluster is managing its configuration. -
False: The cluster is not managing its configuration. -
Unknown: The configuration management status of the cluster cannot be determined.
Scaling
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is currently scaling up or down.
Possible Values:

ScalingUp
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is scaling up.

Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is in hibernation.

Description: Indicates that there is an error in the Couchbase cluster.

Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is ready for autoscaling.

Synchronized
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is synchronized.

WaitingBetweenMigrations
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is waiting between migrations.

Migrating
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is migrating.

Rebalancing
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is rebalancing its data across nodes.
Possible Values:

ExpandingVolume
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster is expanding a volume.
Possible Values:

BucketMigrating
Description: Indicates that the cluster is migrating a bucket storage backend.
Possible Values:

ClusterUnreconcilable
Description: Indicates that the Couchbase cluster spec is invalid and cannot be reconciled.
Possible Values:

True: The cluster spec has failed validation and/or reconciliation cannot be completed. -
False: The cluster spec is valid and reconciliation is proceeding normally. -
Unknown: The validity of the cluster spec cannot be determined.
MixedMode
Description: The Couchbase cluster is running nodes on two different Couchbase Server versions.
Possible Values:

True: The cluster contains nodes running different Couchbase Server versions. -
False: All nodes in the cluster are running the same Couchbase Server version. -
Unknown: The version uniformity of cluster nodes cannot be determined.
ServicesMismatch
Description: One or more Couchbase nodes from server classes in the Couchbase cluster are running Couchbase services that do not match the desired services defined in the cluster spec.
Possible Values:

True: At least one server class has nodes whose active services differ from the desired services. -
False: All server classes are running their desired services. -
Unknown: Whether a services mismatch exists cannot be determined.
ManualInterventionRequired
Description: The Couchbase cluster has encountered a problem that the operator cannot resolve automatically and requires administrator action. This condition is only active when the MIR watchdog is enabled via the spec.mirWatchdog field. Possible causes include authentication failures, exhausted rebalance retries, unrecoverable down nodes, or expired TLS certificates.
Possible Values:

True: The cluster has encountered one or more conditions requiring manual administrator intervention. -
False: No conditions requiring manual intervention are present. -
Unknown: Manual intervention required cannot be determined.
