The cbstats tool provides Data Service statistics, for an individual node.

Description

The cbstats tool provides Data Service statistics, for an individual, specified node.

The tool is located as follows:

Platform Location

Linux

/opt/couchbase/bin/cbstats

Windows

C:\Program Files\Couchbase\Server\bin\cbstats.exe

Mac OS X

/Applications/Couchbase Server.app/Contents/Resources/couchbase-core/bin/cbstats

Syntax

cbstats <host>:<port> [common options] command [command options]

The host must be the hostname or IP address of a node within the cluster. The port must be 11210.

The options for the command parameter are each assigned a page in the current section. Use the navigation facility at the left, to access each page.

The common options are as follows:

Options Description

-h, --help

Show the help message and exit.

-a

Iterate over all buckets.

-j

Output the result in JSON format.

-8

Use UTF8 symbols in the output.

-b <bucketname>

The bucket whose corresponding statistics are to be retrieved.

-u <username>

The user’s username.

-p <password>

The user’s password.

-S

Read the password from stdin.

Example

The following example retrieves Data Service statistics for timings related to the travel-sample bucket, on the current host.

/opt/couchbase/bin/cbstats -u Administrator -p password \
-b travel-sample \
localhost:11210 timings

If successful, the command returns (extensive) output, the opening section of which appears as follows:
