Quick Index Supported Languages

When you create an index and add a text field with the Quick Index editor, you need to specify a language for the text.

For more information about how to create a Search index with the Quick Index editor, see Create a Search Index with the Quick Editor.

The following language options are available for Quick Index text fields:

Language Option Description

Unknown/Various

Select this option if the text in the field contains multiple languages, or doesn’t match another language option.

English

Select this option if the text in the field is in English.

Arabic

Select this option if the text in the field is in Arabic.

Chinese, Japanese, and Korean

Select this option if the text in the field is in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.

Croatian

Select this option if the text in the field is in Croatian.

Danish

Select this option if the text in the field is in Danish.

Dutch

Select this option if the text in the field is in Dutch.

Finnish

Select this option if the text in the field is in Finnish.

French

Select this option if the text in the field is in French.

German

Select this option if the text in the field is in German.

Hebrew

Select this option if the text in the field is in Hebrew.

Hindi

Select this option if the text in the field is in Hindi.

Hungarian

Select this option if the text in the field is in Hungarian.

Italian

Select this option if the text in the field is in Italian.

Norwegian

Select this option if the text in the field is in Norwegian.

Persian

Select this option if the text in the field is in Persian.

Portuguese

Select this option if the text in the field is in Portuguese.

Romanian

Select this option if the text in the field is in Romanian.

Russian

Select this option if the text in the field is in Russian.

Sorani Kurdish

Select this option if the text in the field is in Sorani.

Spanish

Select this option if the text in the field is in Spanish.

Swedish

Select this option if the text in the field is in Swedish.

Turkish

Select this option if the text in the field is in Turkish.

Web

Select this option if the text in the field contains content like URLs, email addresses, Twitter usernames, or hashtags.
